Without the Crucifiction of Christ, our Sacrificial Lamb of God, there would be no atonement for sin; our Christian faith would be meaningless. It is through His blood that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 1:7).

Our faith in His blood is one of the most powerful and essential elements of our walk with Him for having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him (Romans 5:9)

This ‘wrath’ is God’s wrath and is the expected punishment for not walking perfectly before Him. Jesus’ Father poured out His wrath on His Own Son on the cross. Jesus freely accepted this punishment on our behalf, even though He had never done anything wrong! Jesus Who knew NO sin, became sin for us so that we could receive His Righteousness as a gift (2 Corinthians 5:21).

There will, one day in the not too distant future, where ALL men will be judged and if found guilty, will forever be separated from ALL goodness, kindness or hope. It will be an eternal punishment (Revelation 20:11-15).

The GOOD NEWS (or Gospel) is this: That if you have accepted, by faith, His gift of forgiveness through faith in His blood and the power of His Resurrection Life, you are safe, saved, and redeemed. Forever!

On this day, every Christian will acknowledge His sacrifice as being God’s perfect expression of His love for everyone; for God desire’s that that ALL be saved and come to a knowledge of The Truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

Heart-brakingly, even though His saving grace and gift of life is FREELY given, not all will accept this, in fact people will hate even the idea of it, there is a spiritual peception at work that to those who are being saved, this news brings JOY but to those who refuse, it bring hate (2 Corinthians2:15-16).

If you feel a desperation to be saved, that you know you are a sinner and need the mercy of God, then feel gladness for this is the Holy Spirit revealing your need to be forgiven (John 16:7-9).

How then do you receive this salvation?

Simply speak out that you accept Jesus as Your LORD, that You accept Him as God, who came down to earth as a Man and as God, Who died for your wrongdoing, Who took the punishment for your sin by the shedding of His blood and the was raised to life! (Romans 10:8-11)

Once you sincerely do this, you WILL experince the forgiveness from God and will KNOW that you now forever belong to Him.

This is the first step of being a Christian and is so very important. Now He will teach you how to know and understand His Kingdom that you are now a part of. His written Word in the bible is revealed by the Holy Spirit.

There is no Good Friday service at Freedom Church but we are meeting with other local churches on the summit of Pendle Hill at 3pm.
